The Challenge

With many Egyptians having taken many courses in learning English and failed, Not courses is aiming to rectify this weakness in the Egyptian workforce by providing workshops that enable student to pick up the language in as natural a way as possible, teachers therefore need to think outside the box in terms of creativity to create a dynamic environment for successful English acquisition.


Overall description:
The teacher will have to demonstrate the required charisma and technical ability to fulfill the short- and long-term goals and objectives of Notcourses. He/she will be responsible for the academic development of small groups of adult learners in a classroom setting, using Notcourses’ unique teaching style and curriculum teachers will need to organise prepare and deliver an objectives based curriculum, keeping updated with students attendance and academic progress, through assessments both formal and informal.


Duties:

  • Prepare classroom activities that match the type and model of curriculum.
  • Teach classes of adult learners using the unique teaching style deployed at the Academy.
  • Attend all training sessions.
  • Prepare reports on progression
  • Deliver placement tests if and where required
  • Manage classrooms to produce a conducive environment for active learning.
  • Monitor student performance, attendance and activities
    • Monitor daily attendance.
    • Investigate and understand causes for student absences.
    • Develop the language aptitude for the students as they navigate through the various levels.
  • Resolving Conflicts where they arise and Negotiating with Others -- Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others. Assisting others -- Providing personal assistance, customers, or patients.
  • Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge -- Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
  • Developing Objectives and Strategies – To improve performance of teachers and student
  • Need to conceptualize the road map for English development through the upcoming levels


Requirements:

Headquartered in Cairo, the successful candidate will bring to the position a comprehensive understanding of teaching practices and principles including experience in the sector. Candidates will have at least 1 year of professional experience (not essential), bachelor degree in English education filed (essential) and good understanding in grammer (essential)
The candidate must be a fluent speaker of English (essential) and have native like acquisition and accent.
The candidate should have proficient knowledge, experience, skills and attributes in the following areas:
